Discover the natural beauty of the eastern-aegean Islands

Estern Aegean IslandsThe Eastern Aegean Islands are much closer to Turkey than to the Greek mainland.

All of these islands became once part of the Ottoman Empire and the heritage of their occupation can be seen.

These islands are not as famous and popular as the Cyclades Islands or the Dodecanese islands.

The Eastern Aegean Islands are characterised by mountainous landscapes, dense forests of pine-trees and beautiful golden sandy beaches.

The Sporades Islands consists of five major islands: Chios, Ikaria, Lesvos(Mytilini), Limnos and Samos.

Many other small satellite islands are located in the area like Fourni near Ikaria, Psara and Inousses near Chios and Agios Eftratios near Limnos.
